Managing Education towards Solving Youth Employment Problem in Nigeria (Published)
Education is an instrument for national development and social change. It is designed to prepare an individual to work and be useful to him/herself and the society. Unfortunately, there is a mismatch between the nature of education provided by Nigeria educational system and the industry. This paper examines the youth and employment crisis in Nigeria. It x-rays youth employment crisis, specifically exploring the causes and consequences. Solutions to the crisis are also proffered. It is believed that addressing youth employment crisis in Nigeria requires collaboration amongst all the stakeholders in education, captains of industry and the youths. It is recommended amongst others, that Nigeria education should be overhauled to become more practical and functional so as to equip her products with employability skills. Also, the school curriculum at all levels should be amended to reflect the needs of the contemporary society, so that the education acquired by the youths would keep them adequately engaged.

Strategies for Effective Utilization of Hybrid Approaches for Improve Instruction in Office Technology and Management (OTM) In Public Tertiary Institutions in South East, Nigeria (Published)
This study was carried out to investigate strategies for effective utilization of hybrid instructional approaches in Office Technology and Management (OTM) in public tertiary institutions in South East, Nigeria. The study answered two (2) research questions which were raised based on two (2) variables. Two null hypotheses were tested at 0.05level of significance. The study adopted descriptive survey research design and the study area was South East geo-political zone of Nigeria. The population of the study consisted of two hundred and sixty-eight (268) business educators employed under Business Education Department of public tertiary institutions in South-East Geopolitical zone, Nigeria. The instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire titled “Strategies for effective utilization of hybrid instructional approaches in office technology and management questionnaire (SEUHIAOTMQ)” with 18 items. The instrument was validated by three experts, two in business education and one in science education. Reliability of the instrument was determined through pilot test using Cronbach Alpha Reliability Statistical Tool. The analysis yielded a reliability coefficient of 0.85. Mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while independent t-test was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The result of the analysis revealed that utilization of flipped model and rotational teaching strategies can enhance effective teaching of Office Technology and Management (OTM) in public tertiary institutions. The study also revealed that gender and years of experiences did not affect the opinion of business educators’ opinion on strategies for effective utilization of hybrid or blended instructional approaches in Office Technology and Management (OTM) in public tertiary institutions in South East, Nigeria. The implication of the findings was that that every business educator should attend regular in-service education so as to keep abreast of current and future innovations in teaching. Based on the findings, it was recommended, among others, that management of public tertiary institutions in South East, Nigeria should from time to time train business educators on emerging technologies which can be adopted for hybrid instructional approaches in public tertiary institutions.

Educational social implications of human learning theories towards the management of activities of kidnapers in Katsina State (Published)
The study investigated educational social implications of learning theories towards the management of activities of kidnapers in Katsina State. The study employed survey research design and the population of the study comprises of 705 people in the affected areas. Purposive sampling technique was used to select 248 people (Research Advisor, 2006) from the population of the study. The instrument for data collection was Learning Theories Questionnaire for Kidnapers’ Activities (LTQKA). The instrument was validated by the experts in educational psychology, test and measurement, guidance and counseling, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. The questionnaires were distributed to the families of victims of kidnappers in the affected areas. Investigation revealed that, schedule of reinforcement and generalization were methods mostly used by the families of captives to free their people from the hands of kidnappers. The finding also revealed that, the families of victims of kidnappers did not believe in the principle of extinction which should have been the best way to end kidnapping in the State. Based on the findings, it was recommended that: government should enact a law that will ban the payments of ransoms to free captives of kidnappers, families of the victims of kidnappers should stop paying ransom to kidnappers as a way to set their people free, governmental and non-governmental organizations should devise means of comforting the families of kidnapped people so that they will have relief and at the same time have courage to abide by the enacted law banned the payments of ransoms to free captives.

Administration of behavior modification as a psychological technique for effective classroom management in teaching and learning of chemistry among senior secondary school students in Zonal Education Quality Assurance, Kankia, Katsina State (Published)
The study titled administration of behavior modification as a psychological technique for effective classroom management in teaching and learning of chemistry among senior secondary school students in Zonal Education Quality Assurance, Kankia,Katsina State. The studyrandomly sampled 120 SS II students from four senior secondary schools in Kankia Zonal Education Quality Assurance. It was quasi-experimental research design consists of two groups, experimental and control groups. The subjects consist of 60 students in each group randomly selected using simple random sampling technique, making a total of 120 students in both groups. The subjects in experimental group classroom were taught concept of chemistry balancing equation usingbehavior modification techniques while the subjects in the control group classroom were taught without behavior modification technique. Chemistry Achievement Test was used as instrument for data collection. Performance of the two groups were compared using post-test mean scores, t-test independent sample at a significant level p=0.05. The finding from the study shows that those students taught using behavior modification techniques performed better than those taught without the use of behavior modification techniques. Also, the study revealed no significant difference between the performance of male and female students taught concept of chemistry balancing equation using behavior modification technique. Based on the findings of the study, recommendations were made and these include; chemistry teachers should modify the behavior of their students for optimal performance and teachers should treat all the students equally regardless of their gender.

Influence of Infrastructural Support Services Management and Secondary Schools Goal Attainment in Calabar Education Zone of Cross River State, Nigeria. (Published)
The study aimed at examining the influence of infrastructural support services management and secondary schools goal attainment in Calabar education zone of Cross River State, Nigeria. To achieve the aim of this study, two research questions were raised and two hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Correlational research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study consists 81 principals in public secondary school in Calabar educational zone of Cross River State. The sampling technique adopted for this study was census method. This was adopted for the study because the population is relatively small and manageable by the researcher. The instrument used for the data collection was questionnaire titled: Infrastructural Support Services Management and Secondary Schools Goal Attainment Questionnaire (ISSMSSGQ) was developed by the researchers and was validated by three experts in Institute of Education, administration in higher education, Department of Educational Management, and measurement and evaluation in the Department of Educational Foundations in Faculty of Education, University of Calabar, Calabar. Data collected were subjected to statistical analysis using Pearson Moment Product Correlation Coefficient (r) of statistical package for social science (SPSS) version 25. The result revealed that there is a significant relationship between management of physical facilities, management of ICT facilities and attainment of secondary school goals in Cross River State of Nigeria. It was recommended among others that Principals should ensure proper management of school physical facilities to facilitate effective achievement of secondary school goals attainment.

Correlation between Employees’ Job Performance and Management Leadership Style in Tertiary Institutions in Lagos State (Published)
The study investigates the correlation between employees’ job performance and management leadership styles in tertiary institutions in Lagos state. Which comprises of university of lagos state, Akoka (UNILAG), Lagos state university, Ojo (LASU), Yaba college of Technology (YABATECH) and Adeniran Ogunsanya college of Education, Otto-Ijanikin (AOCEOD). The research design adopted is descriptive research design and was guided by four research questions and four research hypotheses. The population for the study comprised of all academic and non-academic staff in tertiary institutions owned and financed by both state and federal government in four tertiary institutions out of six (6) of both state and federal public tertiary institutions in Lagos state through purposive sampling technologies Fifty (50) academic and Fifty (50) non-academic staffs were selected through simple random sampling techniques from each of the four (4) tertiary institutions chosen for the study. In one hundred (100) respondents from each tertiary institution with the grand total of four hundred (400) respondents. The research instrument was structured questionnaire tagged “Questionnaire on Employees’ Job Performance and Management Leadership Style” (QEJPMLS) with the twenty (20) items. The data collected were analyzed using percentage and the pearson product moment correlation co-efficient test the significant correlation of the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significant. The findings of the study revealed that there is a correlation between employees job performance and autocratic leadership style at (R-cal value 0.097, R-table value 0.81, DF=4, level of sig. =0.05). And there is a correlation between employees’ job performance and democratic leadership style at (R-cal value 0.96, R-table value 0.81, level of Sig. = 0.05). Also, there is a correlation between employees’ style at (R-cal value 0.96, R-table value 0.81, level of Sig. = 0.05). Based on the findings of the study, recommendation were given. It was concluded that, autocratic democratic and laissez-faire management leadership style have an impact on the employees’ job performance in tertiary institutions in Lagos State.

Student Council Members’ Management of Discipline in Public Secondary Schools in Wareng Sub-County, Kenya (Published)
In Kenya, there has been increasing concern that acts of student indiscipline are on the rise in schools. In light of this view, this paper explores the extent to which student council members manage of students’ discipline in public secondary schools in Wareng Sub-County, Kenya. The study was guided by the Social Systems Theory, which states that an organization is a system that comprises of different units which are interrelated in carrying out activities. The study’s main research question was to what extent do student councils to meaningfully participate in management of students’ discipline in secondary schools in Wareng Sub-County? The study employed ex post facto research design. The target population was student councillors, deputy, head teachers and principals in public secondary schools in Wareng Sub-County. Stratified simple random sampling techniques were used to select the sample to participate in the study. Data collection was through use of a questionnaire and interview. Descriptive statistics such as means, percentages, frequencies, means and standard deviations were used to analyse and present the research data. To test hypotheses independent samples t-test and ANOVA were used. From the findings of the study, the research concluded that student council members were aware of the mission and vision of their schools. Majority of the participants were trained to follow rules and regulations. Problem solving strategies were also covered during training. Moreover, student council members were taught the importance of skills public speaking. Based on these findings, it was recommended that the Kenya Ministry of Education should come up with a proper school governance system that enables student councillors to participate in decision-making process and especially in matters that concern students through active involvement in various meetings. Electronic Human Resource Management for University Administration in Rivers State (Published)
The study investigated electronic human resource management for University administration in Rivers State. Five research questions and five hypotheses were formulated to serve as guide for the study. The design adopted for the study was descriptive survey. Population of the study was 12,056 academic staff in Rivers State Universities while 749 academic staff were sampled for the study through stratified random sampling technique. Instrument used for data collection was a 25-item questionnaire titled “Electronic Human Resource Management for University Administration Questionnaire” (EHRMUAQ) and the instrument was validated by two experts in the Department of Educational Management, University of Port Harcourt. The reliability of the instrument was determined using Cronbach Alpha statistic with an index of 0.82.Research questions raised were answered using mean and standard deviation while the hypotheses were tested using z-test at 0.05 alpha level. The findings of the study revealed that public and private Universities differ in the extent of use of electronic platforms for planning, recruitment and selection, wage administration and compensation, and performance appraisal for University administration, while they do not differ in the area of training and development. It was recommended among others that sufficient electronic devices should be provided in these Universities for carrying out these administrative functions.

The Preferred Crisis Management Strategies among Lecturers in Tertiary Institutions in Cross River State, Nigeria and the Need for Guidance and Counselling Intervention (Published)
The aim of this study was to investigate the preferred crises management strategies among lecturers in tertiary institutions in Cross River State, Nigeria. The population of the study was one thousand two hundred and forty-two (1,242) lecturers. The total sample used for the study was five hundred respondents who were drawn through stratified random sampling from four institutions of higher learning in Cross River State. The instrument used for the data collection was the researcher’s developed Preferred Crisis Management Strategies Questionnaire (P.C.M.S.Q). It has two sections, A and B. Section A contained the personal data while B contained four point Likert scale type, made up of sixteen (16) items. The data collected from the samples were subjected to statistical analysis using the population and independent t-test. To accomplish the study objective, two hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. The following findings emerged; the preference for force crisis management strategy by lecturers was significantly low in tertiary institutions in Cross River State. Sex does not influence lecturers’ preference for dialogue as a crisis management strategy. Based on these findings, the following recommendations were made. The government should adequately fund education, and the schools should devise local sources of generating funds while well-meaning individuals and companies should assist, dialogue should be adopted as evidenced in the study.

Academic Records Management in Ghanaian Basic Schools: A Study of Basic Schools in the Ashiedu Keteke Sub-Metro in the Greater Accra Region (Published)
The study examined the academic records management practices in Basic Schools in the Ashiedu Keteke Sub-Metro in the Greater Accra Region. Adopting the quantity approach to research, the study employed the descriptive survey design which involved the administration of closed-ended questionnaire to 20 head, 20 assistant head teachers and 213 teachers from 20 randomly selected Basic schools in the Ashiedu Keteke Sub-Metro. The study revealed that academic records of basic schools included admission register, attendance register, log book, visitors book, cumulative record folder, students report sheet/card, school timetable, staff attendance register, staff movement book, scheme of work, lesson plan and notes, store ledger/inventory book, and school syllabus. The absence of national policy on records management and the lack of guidelines for academic records management in schools appeared to be the major challenges hindering effective academic records management in basic schools in the sub-Metro. Based on the findings, it was recommended that there should be a national policy on academic records management. In addition, qualified record managers or professional archivists should be employed to manage academic records in Basic Schools.
