Effects of Change Management on Firm Performance: A Case Study of Mira Purification LTD Abuja (Published)

This study examined the effect between change management process and performance in mira purification ltd Abuja of the beverage sector. The data used in this study were collected from mainly primary source. The main research instrument was structured questionnaire and the research questions were asked to guide the respondents in order to elicit information on the subject matter. The study had a population of 110 made up of owners, employees of private firms, technical engineers, unions and association and journalists. Simple random sampling was used to administer copies of questionnaire on the respondents. The study adopted the use of descriptive statistics to analyze the demographic characteristics of the respondents while inferential statistics of simple linear regression was used to test the hypotheses in line with the objective of the study. The study found out that there is a significant and positive relationship between change management process (CMP) and Performance (PF) in mira purification ltd aspect of the beverage sector. It was recommended that based on the study examined, the management of mira purification ltd should build a solid scope and concept of the change, analyze the current and future state of the change and develop a possible and desired result that will enhance the performance of the organization in terms of project outcome. The study will advise the management to critically look at the planning of change as a clear step towards analysis, measurement and possible avoidance of resistance that is likely to occur in the course of a change to make implementation and deployment efficient for the organization. The study concludes that the activities of identification of change can influence the project outcome of the organizations performance in the beverage sector as there is a direct and positive significance and that is potent tool for managing change as it relates to performance. It will be important to say that company should invest in expert and role models to manage change management process so that improvement, participation, effectiveness, adherence and speedy execution of change can be achieved in the beverage sector.

Planning Commercial Development in a Rapidly Urbanizing Population (Published)

This research project is an attempt towards outlining the planning of commercial development in the context of a rapidly urbanizing population and the problems and limitations facing such national efforts. A lot of importance is attached to underlining various possibilities and priorities in a well defined management and planning system. This project also looks at development of research and problems of availing information for decision making in the process of planning, management and development of commercial activities. It is envisaged that information and knowledge about planning commercial development and management of commercial activities is significant in the achievement of the national goals of development. The study examined the character of commercial development and patterns of consumer behavior in Kisumu city which is a rapidly expanding settlement. The study also looked at various ways employed by the government to regulate informal trade, identify planning intervention for fixed retail development and finally made policy recommendations for planning commercial development.

Good Leadership, Planning and Decision-Making Is A Panacea to Improved Productivity of Workers (Published)

The study ascertains that good leadership, planning and decision making is a panacea to improved productivity of workers.  Four research questions were formulated to guide the study. Using a  simple random sampling techniques, 100 workers were selected to form the sample size of the study. Data gathered through questionnaires was analyzed using mean scores.  The findings of the study revealed that organizations that have good leadership, planning and decision-making processes, make available the right tools for work performance, record and acknowledged the  improved productivity of workers.  Based on the findings of this study, the following recommendations were made: Having discussed the findings of the study, the following recommendations are made. Organizations and other employers of labour who have not created enabling working environment should create one in other to enhance productivity.  The job situation must be good/clearly communicated and  merits must be fairly compensated.  Employers should develop a family kind of relationship within and among their workers so that they can get the best out of the workers.  Provide proper motivation that would leads to better working habits and increased productivity.  In conclusion, organizations that set relevant goals and objectives should communicate same to the workers in clear terms, and provide modern technologies for job performance to achieve maximum productivity.
