This study investigated the impact of mass media in combating girl-child trafficking in Enugu State. The research was motivated by the rising concerns over the prevalence of human trafficking, particularly involving young girls, despite existing laws and awareness campaigns. The study adopted a mixed-methods approach, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data sourced from 400 respondents across the three senatorial zones of the state. In-depth interviews were also conducted with media practitioners, NGOs, and security agencies to complement the survey findings. The objectives included evaluating the effectiveness of mass media campaigns in raising awareness, examining media coverage on girl-child trafficking, and determining the level of behavioral change resulting from media interventions. The results revealed that while the media plays a significant role in awareness creation, its impact is limited by factors such as poor access to media in rural areas, sensationalism, and weak collaboration between stakeholders. The study concluded that although the mass media has contributed significantly to combating girl-child trafficking, there remains a gap in strategic communication, consistent messaging, and enforcement of advocacy outcomes. The research recommends enhanced media synergy with grassroots organizations, training for journalists on trafficking-sensitive reporting, and the development of culturally relevant media content
