Effects of School Location On Principal Administrative Performance in Secondary Schools in Ondo State, Nigeria (Published)
The study examined the effect of school location on principal administrative performance in secondary schools in Ondo state, Nigeria. One null hypothesis was formulated to guide the study. A descriptive survey research design was used for the study. The population of the study consisted of 12,125 teachers in the 304 public secondary schools. While, the sample size comprised of 480 teachers selected from 30 public secondary schools in Ondo state. The sample size was selected using a simple random sampling technique. Effect of school location on principal administrative performance Questionnaire (ESLPAPQ) was a self-designed data collection instrument. Experts in Educational Management and Measurements and Evaluation at Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology validated the instrument. The instrument’s reliability was tested using test-retest method and a coefficient value of 0.77 was obtained. The finding revealed that school location significantly influences principal administrative performance. It was recommended that the government should always organize seminars, workshops and conferences for all principals in public secondary schools irrespective of the differences in their school location, as this could stimulate principal administrative performance in secondary schools in Ondo state, Nigweria.

The Effect of Stress on Academic Staff Job Performance in Private Universities In Southwestern Nigeria: Bowen University as a focal point. (Published)
This study investigated sources and types of stress and their impact on academic performance of lecturers in a private university in Southwestern Nigeria with a view to devising a more pragmatic approach to the management of stress in such institutions for optimal performance. The study was carried out through survey method by administering structured questionnaire on respondents randomly selected from the academic staff of Bowen University Iwo in September, 2019. One hundred and twenty (120) copies of the questionnaire were prepared and randomly distributed by hand to respondents drawn from various colleges and programs. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were employed in the analysis of the data collected. It was found out that both sources and types of stress have significant impacts on academic performance of lecturers when performance is considered from the points of view of teaching, publication and community service.

Academic Motivation and Performance of Junior High School Students in Ghana (Published)
The study examined academic motivation and academic performance of Junior High School (JHS) students in Ghana. Differences between the academic motivation of male and female students as well as between students from urban and rural schools were examined. Participants were 756 male and 714 female JHS 2 students randomly selected from 24 Junior High Schools through stratified random sampling using gender and location as criteria for stratification. Two research instruments, the Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) with a Cronbach Alpha Reliability Coefficient of 0.75 and Achievement Tests in Mathematics, English Language, Social Studies and Integrated Science were used to collect data. Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and t-tests were used in analyzing the data. The results showed a positive relationship between academic motivation and academic performance of JHS students. While the results showed a statistically significant difference between the academic motivation of students in schools in urban and rural areas, there was difference between the academic motivation of male and female students. It was recommended that teachers, parents and all those concerned with the education of children should put in place psychological processes that are intended to boost the ego of students thereby making them have an inner feeling of satisfaction when they accomplish academic tasks.

Perspectives on Effects of Teacher Turnover on Students’ Academic Performance in Secondary Schools In Gem Sub-County, Kenya (Published)
Teacher turnover poses a threat to the education sector by limiting or reducing the availability of qualified teachers to undertake teaching services. The purpose of this study was to assess the effects of teacher turnover on students’ academic performance from the perspectives of head-teachers, teachers and students in secondary schools in Gem Sub-County, Siaya County. The research design was a descriptive survey research design. The study estimated the effects of teacher turnover in 14 secondary schools out of 42 secondary schools in Gem sub-county. This involved 14 head-teachers, 163 teachers and 371 students. To obtain the sample of the study, stratified random sampling was used. Data was collected using questionnaires document analysis guide and interviews. The data was analyzed using frequency distribution tables, measures of central tendency and percentages. The main factors of turnover reported in the study were resignation for non-teaching jobs or further studies, poor working conditions, poor transport system, social security, poor medical services, maternity commitments and school policies. The main effects of turnover reported were teacher shortage, poor syllabus coverage, impact on student’s academic performance, disruption of teaching, learning and school planning, increased workload and reputation of the school. It is therefore necessary that controlling agencies should address themselves about this turnover and restore to schools the quality and dignity intended for them. This calls for an adoption of programmes geared towards the achievement of objectives, standardization of entry behaviours and discipline on the job.

Performance Assessment of Secondary School Counsellors in Counselling: Anambra And Enugu States of Nigeria in Focus (Published)
The study sought to determine the performance assessment of counsellors in counselling as a school guidance service in Nigerian secondary schools. One research question and one hypothesis were formulated to guide the descriptive survey study. The population of the study was 47010 respondents out of which multistage sampling technique was used to select a sample of 739 respondents, being 45 supervisors and 675 SS II students. A 4 point researcher made 7 items questionnaire tagged Performance Assessment of School Counsellors in Counselling (PASCIC), with a reliability index of 0.73, Cronbach alpha was used to elicit responses after which 720 copies were duly filled and returned. Mean and t-test at 0.05 level of significance were used to test the research question and the hypothesis respectively. Findings reveal that Nigerian counsellors, in the face or all odds are proficient in counselling which would be traceable to cultures and traditions of counselling by elderly people in Nigeria to the younger ones.

Study of Performance Comparison between Islamic and Conventional Banking in Pakistan (Published)
In Pakistan initial attempts were made in 1980s to Islamize the banking sector resulted into lot of changes in banking companies’ ordinance 1962. Since then, changes in financial system for allowing the issuance of interest free instruments, permission of Modaraba companies and Modaraba certificates’ floatation, establishment of commission for Transformation of Financial system (CTFS) and setting up of Islamic Banking Department by State Bank of Pakistan are major steps taken by government. The purpose of this study is to comprehend the nature of Islamic banks, measure and compare the performance of five Islamic banks with five conventional banks working in Pakistan over a period of five years from 2006-10. Performance comparison was conducted by trend analysis and using twelve financial ratios under category of profitability, risk, liquidity and efficiency. The study concluded that Islamic banks are less risky, more solvent and efficient than conventional banks but there is not much difference seen in terms of profitability. In respect of trend analysis balance sheet & income statement of Islamic banks revealed good positive trends as compared to conventional banks. The results of the study would be beneficial to current management of Islamic banks to improve their performance as well as potential stakeholders.
