Bridging Stakeholders’ Expectations Gap: The Role of Sustainability Reporting of Listed Firms in Nigeria (Published)
Studies have shown that expectation gaps among stakeholders have resulted into information asymmetry. In view of this, this study investigated the role of sustainability reporting in bridging the stakeholders’ expectation gaps in Nigeria. The study adopted cross sectional survey research design, and used online structured questionnaire to collect primary data. 150 copies of questionnaire were distributed, out of which 138 copies were returned. Data obtained from the respondent were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The regression result from hypothesis one revealed that sustainability reporting practices has significant role in improving the disclosure of information regarding business activities in Nigeria (Adj. R2 =0.545; F = 58. 176; p =0.001<0.05 ), while that of hypothesis two showed that sustainability reporting practices is an effective tool for effectively bridging the gaps in stakeholder expectations within Nigerian businesses ( Adj.R2 =0.565; F = 75.112; p = 0.001 <0.05 ).The regression result from hypothesis one revealed that sustainability reporting practices has significant role in improving the disclosure of information regarding business activities in Nigeria, while that of hypothesis two showed that sustainability reporting practices is an effective tool for effectively bridging the gaps in stakeholder expectations within Nigerian businesses. Hence, the study concluded that adoption of sustainability reporting can significantly strengthen the trust of the stakeholders thereby contributing to bridge their expectation’s gap. The study recommended that corporate organizations should regard sustainability reporting as a strategic instrument for promoting transparency and accountability.Top of Form

Effect of Organizational Culture on Employee Performance: A Survey of Selected Public Sector Organizations in Enugu (Published)
Employee performance is significantly impacted by organizational culture because it helps employees match their goals with the organization’s overarching objectives. This helps ensure that public organizations uphold their obligation to provide end users with necessary services. This study’s main goal is to explore the relationship between organizational culture and employee performance. It does this by employing both descriptive and exploratory research designs using both primary and secondary instruments to collect data. 100 employees of the Enugu State Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, the Enugu State Civil Service Commission, the Enugu State Economic Planning Commission, and the Office of the Head of Service completed a structured questionnaire that served as the primary data source. While secondary data came from government papers, textbooks, the internet, and journal publications. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (IBM SPSS) was used to analyze the collected data and evaluate the hypotheses. The analysis’s findings indicate that organizational norms have a significant impact on employee commitment within an organization in terms of professional growth and development, recognition and rewards for good performance, clear communication of the organization’s goals and values, and a positive work environment. Additionally, a well-structured work routine has a significant impact on how much work is completed by employees by improving productivity, time management, and work quality. The study makes the urgent recommendation that the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) under review establish and uphold strong organizational norms that encourage employee commitment with a particular focus on professional growth and development, recognition and reward for good performance, clear communication of organizational goals and values, and a positive work environment that fosters performance. It’s important for leaders to be aware of their preferred styles and to adapt them as necessary to create a positive and productive work environment. Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) should promote employee delivery on workload with a view to ensuring productivity, time management, and adaptability.

The Effects of Organizational Structure on the Performance of Organizations (Published)
An organization can be likened to a building whose strength is determined by the structure and frames which holds it. The structure is the manner in which interrelated elements (resources) are arranged so that the building can be stable, resist stress and it provides the right form. To this end, for the performance of an organization to be effective, it is important to understand the right manner in which interrelated elements (structure) in the specific organization is arranged. To measure the performance of the organization, dependent variables such as sales, profit, and customer satisfaction will be considered. Also, the study utilized independent variables centralization and formalization organizational structures. This is to show the effects of the dependent variables on the independent variable. The research adopted quantitative design and applied mono method which brought about numerical data generated from questionnaire administered. The population of this study comprises of all staff of Covenant Micro Finance Bank as well as the customers of the banks. Total sum of 354 sample size comprising of both employees (51) and customers (303) of Covenant Micro Finance Bank is the sample size. The propositions assumed for this study are that: there is no relationship between organizational centralization and organizational customer satisfaction, there is no relationship between organizational centralization and organizational profit, there is no relationship between organizational formalization and organizational customer satisfaction and that there is no relationship between organizational formalization and organizational profit. Also, among the secondary data collected are views of various management researchers. As a result of the primary and secondary data collected, the study recommends that organizations should adopt decentralization structure and reduce formalization in the work place.

News Coverage and its Impact on the Corporate Reputation of Organisations in Ghana (Published)
The study examines the ways in which news coverage by journalist and the various media houses have an influence on corporate reputation of an organization. The media is one of the biggest medium through which information flows. In Ghana, the media is even referred to as the fourth arm of government after the legislature, executive and judiciary. The purpose of the study was to find out news coverage by journalist and media houses impact on the corporate reputation of organization in Ghana. The study used both quantitative and qualitative data. Journalists have a responsibility of doing the job professional without fear or favor. The study revealed that journalist and Media houses are very powerful and as a result any negative reportage by the media houses will go a long way to affect the image and reputation of an organization and a positive reportage can also enhance the image and reputation of the organization
