The Effect of Organizational Financial Goals On Environmental Sustainability Behaviour of Employees of Downstream Oil and Gas Firms in (Published)

The study’s objective is to evaluate how employees of downstream oil and gas companies in Ghana behave in terms of environmental sustainability in relation to organizational financial goals. The study used a quantitative approach, with a questionnaire serving as the primary tool for data collecting. The findings showed that employees’ environmental sustainability behavior is positively impacted by business financial goals. The findings showed that employees’ environmental sustainability behavior is significantly improved by environmental transparency. The survey also found that corporate and institutional obstacles are impeding the successful implementation of sustainability. In order to improve their value creation processes, the study recommends to managers and owners of oil and gas businesses to make an effort to incorporate stakeholder expectations into strategy development.
