The Effect of Job Satisfaction On Teachers’ Performance: A Survey with Elementary School Teachers in Kendari City, Indonesia (Published)

The research objective was to examine the effect of job satisfaction on the performance of elementary school teachers in Kendari City, Indonesia. There were 125 elementary school teachers who participated in this study. Data were collected using five-choice Likert scale model questionnaires, namely: the teacher job satisfaction scale r=0.91 and the teacher performance scale r=0.94. The data was analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) through analysis of moment structures (AMOS) software. The results showed that there was a significant positive effect of job satisfaction on the performance of elementary school teachers. The study’s findings suggest that it is critical for elementary school administrators and education administrators in local governments to ensure teacher job satisfaction in order to improve their performance.

The Impact of Locus of Control and Self Esteem on Ethical Behavior of University Students (Published)

The objective of the research was to examine the effect of locus of control and self-esteem on students’ ethical behavior. The research sample consists of 480 students of the Faculty of Teaching and Education, Universitas Halu Oleo Indonesia during academic-year 2022. Data was collected using five-choice Likert scale model questionnaires, ethical behavior scale rα= 0.81, locus of control scale rα=0.86, and self-esteem scale rα =0.86. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) software. The results showed that there was a significant positive effect of locus of control and self-esteem on students’ ethical behavior either partially or simultaneously. This means, the better the students’ locus of control and self-esteem, the better their ethical behavior will be.

The effect of Work Discipline on Teachers’ Performance (Published)

The purpose of this research is to analyze and to describe the effect of teachers’ work discipline on teachers’ performance. This study was conducted at 24 public junior secondary schools and 29 private junior secondary schools in Kendari City, Indonesia with a sample size of 100 respondents. The latent variabel studied was teachers’ work discipline as exogen variable and teachers’ performance as endogenous variable. Two sets of questionnaires (pertaining to teacers’ work discipline and teacher’s performance) were used as research instruments. The data collected were tested through statistics Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) by using software Smart-PLS 3.0. The study results show that there is a positive and significant effect of teachers’ work discipline on teachers’ performance.
