Perceived Influence of the Use of E-Learning Technologies in Teaching Business Education Courses in Public Universities in South-South, Nigeria (Published)
The study was carried out to determine perceived influence of the use of e-learning technologies in teaching and learning of Business Education courses in Public Universities in South-South, Nigeria. The study was guided by two research questions and two null hypotheses. The study adopted descriptive survey research design. The population of the study is two hundred and thirty two (232) Business Educators in public universities in South-South, Nigeria. The entire population of 232 Business Educators was studied. Structured questionnaire containing 45 item entitled “Perceived influence of the use of e-learning technologies in teaching of Business Education courses” were used for data collection. The instrument was validated by three (3) experts. The Cronbach Alpha Reliability coefficient was 0.97 and 0.91. Two hundred and thirty two (232) copies of instrument were distributed, 225 were successfully retrieved from business educators. Mean (X) and Standard Deviation (SD) were used in analyzing the research questions. The null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance using t-test statistical tool. The findings showed that digital library and Google search engine have positive influence in teaching and learning of Business Education in Public Universities in South-South, Nigeria. The hypotheses tested showed that there is no significant difference in the mean ratings of business educators in Federal and State University on perceived influence of the use of digital library in teaching of Business Education in public universities and there is no significant difference in the mean ratings of the business educators in perceived influence of the use of Google search engine in teaching of business education in the public universities in the South-South geo-political zone of Nigeria based on school ownership (federal/ state). Based on the findings of the study, it was concluded that, the use of digital camera, digital library, video conferencing and Google search engine are believed to have influence in teaching and learning of Business Education courses in public universities in South-South, Nigeria. The study recommended among others that management of public universities in South-South zone of Nigeria should endeavour to adequately provide e-learning technologies identified in order to sustain e-learning in teaching and learning of business education courses. The educational implication is that the e-learning technologies for teaching and learning of Business Education courses influence teaching and learning of Business Education courses. Training and re-training of lecturers in the utilization of e-learning technologies should be adopted, because it will improve lecturers’ skills in business education courses and also help students to learn better and faster in the classroom.

Constraints to Multimedia Applications in Business Education Programme of Public Universities In South-Eastnigeria (Published)
The main purpose of this study was to determine the constraints to multimedia applications in teaching business education courses in universities in south-East Nigeria. The study was guided by two research questions and two null hypotheses. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The population was 53 business education lecturers in the public Universities in South-East Nigeria. No sampling was carried out due to the manageable size of the population. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection. The questionnaire was validated by three experts and the reliability was determined using Cronbach Alpha which yielded 0.85. Out of 53 copies of the questionnaire distributed 51were returned representing 96.23 percent return rate. Mean with standard deviation was used to answer the research questions and t-test statistics was used to test the null hypotheses at .05 level of significance. Some of the findings include: poor provision of multimedia, employment of unqualified staff and poor knowledge of available multimedia facilities. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended among others things that lecturers should be retrained to equip them with the knowledge and skills of multimedia applications and government should provide fund to the public universities to enable them improve on staff and physical infrastructural development.

Influence of Self and Social Awareness on Business Education Students’ Academic Performance in Federal Universities in South-South, Nigeria (Published)
This study investigated the influence of self and social awareness on Business Education students’ academic performance in Federal Universities in South-South, Nigeria. Two specific objectives, two research questions and two null hypotheses guided the study. The ex-post facto research design was used for the study. The population of the study consisted of all the 513 students who were at their second and third year of studies, in Business Education programme in the three Federal Universities in South-South, Nigeria that offer Business Education programme. A sample of 356 Business Education students from two intact years was selected for the study using stratified sampling technique. The validated instrument, Emotional Competency Inventory was used for data collection; an internal consistency reliability coefficient of 0.76 was obtained using Cronbach Alpha reliability technique. Mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions, while multiple regression analysis was used to test the null hypotheses at .05 level of significance. The result revealed that there was a significant influence of self awareness and social awareness on Business Education students’ academic performance in Federal Universities in South-South, Nigeria. It is recommended, among others, that a balanced combination of emotional and cognitive strategies should be employed in training students. This will facilitate the identification, recognition and development of their emotional skills which will in turn contribute to their personal, academic and career success.

Business Education Students’s Perception Of The Skill Needs For Successful Entrepreneurship In Nigeria (Published)
The paper examined the Business education students’ perception of skill needs for successful entrepreneurship in Nigeria. Two research questions and two hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. The population consisted of 6002 business education students. 600 respondents were selected through stratified sampling technique. The study adopted survey design. A four point response item structured questionnaire was used for data collection. Out of the 600 copies distributed, 589 were collected and used for the study. The instrument was face- validated by three experts in the Departments of Business Education and science education of Ebonyi State University. An internal consistency of 0.98 was obtained using Cronbach Alpha correlation coefficient. Mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while t –test was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The study revealed that business education students need technical and financial management skills to function well in this time of economic meltdown in Nigeria. It was concluded that there was need to put in place learning facilities that will help the business education students to acquire the skills. It was recommended that the institutions training Business Education students for entrepreneurship should have well equipped entrepreneurial development centre.
