On October 1, 2022, the Worker Cooperative Act went into effect in Japan, tasking worker cooperatives with playing a leading role in solving population decline issues due to its aging society with a very low birth-rate. The research target of this study is the ‘Worker Cooperative Children’s Editing Club,’ which was first established in Kobe city, where worker cooperative activities are common. Participating students participated in a reporting project in Nishiawakura Village. The participants were surveyed to evaluate if they experienced intrinsic and altruistic motivation through the worker cooperative extra-curricular activity. The results were analysed using text mining and confirm that participants were exposed to multiple opportunities to experience intrinsic and altruistic motivation.
