The Interpretation of Election Laws on Delimitation of Constituencies by Pakistani Courts (Published)

Election laws in Pakistan are Election Act 2017 and Election Rules 2017. The concept of Delimitation of Constituencies thrives in the Election laws of Pakistan and various dimensions of it have been accurately and broadly considered and evolved by the courts of Pakistan. Thereby, the discourse of all the evolved principles of Pakistani courts on delimitation is the main aim of this paper. After qualitatively exploring all the contents on the delimitation of constituencies, this article provides the concept and principles of delimitation, and how its credibility is affected by gerrymandering and the debasement of the voter. This article also conducts an inquiry into the role of the Election Commission and pinpoints the status of the 2022 delimitation.
