Change Management and Employee Productivity in Selected Private Universities in Abuja (Published)
This study examined the effect of change management on employee productivity in selected private universities in Abuja, Nigeria, with specific focus on communication, leadership transition, and technological advancement. The study was motivated by the increasing need for private universities to enhance productivity through effective management of organizational change in a rapidly evolving digital and administrative environment. A descriptive survey research design was adopted, and data were collected from academic staff of Nile University of Nigeria and Baze University, Abuja. From a total population of 1,018 academic staff, a sample size of 288 respondents was determined using the Taro Yamane sampling technique, while stratified sampling was employed to ensure adequate representation. Data were analyzed using regression analysis to test the formulated hypotheses at a 5% level of significance. The findings revealed that communication had a strong positive and significant effect on employee productivity (R² = 0.610, p < 0.05), indicating that effective information flow enhances staff efficiency and performance. Leadership Transition also showed a significant positive influence on employee productivity (R² = 0.494, p < 0.05), confirming the role of supportive leadership in motivating employees and improving work outcomes. Technological advancement equally demonstrated a significant positive effect on employee productivity (R² = 0.365, p < 0.05), showing that modern technological tools enhance work speed, accuracy, and service delivery. Based on these findings, the study concludes that effective change management practices significantly enhance employee productivity in private universities in Abuja. The study therefore recommends strengthened communication systems, sustained leadership transition, and continuous investment in modern technology and staff training to promote higher productivity and institutional effectiveness.

Role of Communication in Achieving Organisational Efficiency: A Study of Veritas University, Abuja (Published)
The study was carried out to investigate the specific role communication played in achievement of efficiency in Veritas University, Abuja. Descriptive survey research design was adopted with questionnaire used as research instrument for data collection. Data collected was analysed through Descriptive method and findings revealed that provision of information, mobilization, deliberation, participation, feedbac, disputes resolution were some of the specific roles of communication in achieving efficiency in Veritas University, Abuja. In doing so, horizontal communication pattern was often used compared to vertical communication and quasi-vertical communication to achieve efficiency in the areas of planning, organization, coordination, monitoring, decision making, and interpersonal relations. Social media group charts and memo were the channels often used among the employees of the commission in communication compared to other numerous channels available for use. The conclusion of the study was that communication remains a vital tool that organizations can use to achieve organizational efficiency but certain barriers also exist in the process that can limit the success of communication. The study therefore recommended that vertical communication than horizontal communication should be for optimum organizational efficiency in Veritas University, Abuja.

The Constraints Faced by Staff in Effective Communication in Kenyan Public Universities (Published)
This study was conducted at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology.It was designed to investigate the constraints faced by Staff ineffective Communication in Kenyan public universities.The study specifically investigated the constraints faced by staff in effective communication in theKenyan Public Universities.Literature was reviewed in relation to the above stated objective. The study sample was drawn from MMUST and involved both academic and administrative staff. The sample size was one hundred and fifty two (152) which represents 77.6% of the target population. Stratified random sampling techniques based on the respondents job descriptions were used. The instruments for data collection involved use of questionnaires and information from secondary data materials for instance the University Act of 2007 and the employee survey findings of 2006. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The major findings revealed that MMUST staff had experienced constraints in effectively communicating to other members of staff. The study identified the constraints faced by the MMUST staff in conveying messages citing lack of adequate working equipment and office space. The study therefore, recommended that MMSUT develops appropriate communication policies to curb the communication based problems affecting the university.
