Productivity of Enterprises Owned By Women Loan- Beneficiaries and Non-Loan Beneficiaries in Imo State, Nigeria (Published)
This study was conducted to investigate the comparative analysis of the productivity of enterprises owned by women loan-beneficiaries and non-loan beneficiaries in Imo State, Nigeria. A representative sample was selected through a multi-stage sampling technique. Data were collected through the use of two sets of structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and total factor productivity. A total of 151 (comprising of 80 loan beneficiaries and 71 non-beneficiaries) respondents were selected for the study. The results showed that the enterprise with the highest total factor productivity is the most productive and that access to credit enables loan beneficiaries in the procurement and purchase of inputs, tools and equipment needed to improve their businesses. Increment in funds invested in the business enterprises of these women entrepreneurs alongside reduced cost of expenses could boost the possible expansion of their enterprises

DETERMINING WOMEN ENTREPRENEURIAL MOTIVATION: A REVIEW OF THEORETICAL MODELS (Published)
The objective of this study is to review theoretical models that determine women entrepreneurial motivation. The works of Bartol and Martins (1998); Kjeldsen and Nielson (2000); Mansor (2005) and others were used as basis for reviewing theoretical models that determine women entrepreneurship. Theoretical models are used as platforms that can motivate women into entrepreneurship. The works of Gartner (1985) revealed an interactive process of women entrepreneurial motivation. Examining women entrepreneurial motivation and review of theoretical models that can help to determine how best to encourage more women to be involved in entrepreneurship development. And on the other hand, it raises some practical implications for policy makers both in the government and industry However, this study is limited based on the information available when the research was carried out. Further research could look at the effect of the entrepreneurship education on women entrepreneurial activities. This paper recommends a study of entrepreneurship models as catalyst for women who want to start their own business so as to know the factors that can encourage and facilitate their performance. This will help to influence more women towards entrepreneurship. The study makes theoretical contribution by focusing on the research area that has received less attention especially in the context of the topic.

FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT THROUGH ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN EGG-LAYING DOMESTIC FOWL PRODUCTION IN NIGERIA (Published)
The need to financially develop and empower women and youths (especially the numerous unemployed) as prerequisite and necessary preparation for their adequate and successful role as ‘home-builders’ and ‘leaders of tomorrow’ was considered. Entrepreneurship was alluded to as a very reliable avenue to ensure the success and sustainability of this necessary development and empowerment need. Egg-laying domestic-fowl production was identified as having the much prospect for successful venture into entrepreneurship. The role and use of the domestic fowl production as a tool to enhance the entrepreneurial development and financial-empowerment was highlighted and appraised. The egg-laying domestic-fowl is a necessary and profitable venture and instrument for successful entrepreneurship and sustainable financial-development,empowerment and poverty-alleviation among unemployed/underemployed men, women and youths as well as a means of averting the possible involvements of these vulnerable groups in vices and criminality. The cost of carrying out the projects, duration, the financial returns, and possible sources of funds/financial assistance were highlighted
