The purpose of scientific research is to identify and investigate phenomena. Sometimes the boundaries of phenomena are not clearly identified. And as a result, the development of theory is defaced. Concepts describe the features, attributes, or characteristics of the phenomenon in the real or phenomenological world that they are meant to represent and that distinguish them from other related phenomena.
