Physical Meaning of Irrational Numbers and Imaginary Numbers (Published)
Numbers are used to count the quantities of things and to indicate the sequence of things in physics. Since neither could irrational numbers and imaginary numbers break away their dependence on the theory based on geometric intuition nor could they be established on the continuous orderly foundation logically, it is therefore impossible to derive their interdependence and relationship. With number axis model of the th power, the author finds that the continuous orderly relationship of the th powers of the rational numbers, irrational numbers and imaginary numbers can be derived because numbers of the th power are conjugate rational numbers and irrational numbers of the th power quantified by the th power of the integral ratio and their opposite numbers are conjugate imaginary numbers of the th power of the equal absolute value.
