An Assessment of Ceramic Cistern Toilets Usage in Ondo State Nigeria (Published)
Sanitary convenience is a necessity for every ideal household that desires healthy lifestyle. The study assessed the usage of the available sanitary waste management alternatives within Ondo State. Survey method was adopted and data collected through questionnaires which was later processed using statistical tools. The response revealed that most people use the ceramic cistern-flush and pour flush toilets for its ease of cleaning and flushing. Unfortunately, the breakdown of public infrastructure such as water supply in parts of Ondo State is a major hindrance in the proper usage of these sanitary fixtures in some household. Hence, other alternatives of faecal waste disposal were adopted.
