Knowledge Sharing and Utilisation as Means of Service Delivery among Library Personnel in Selected Universities in Southwest, Nigeria (Published)
This study examines knowledge sharing and utilization as means of service delivery among Library personnel in selected universities in Southwest, Nigeria. The population of the study was made up of Academic Librarians, Library Officers and Library Assistants. The study covered 12Nigerian University Libraries. Questionnaire was used for data collection. The instruments were grouped into four sections. Findings of the study revealed that both the tacit and explicit knowledge were being shared among the library personnel in which tacit knowledge was the most shared knowledge, library personnel shared knowledge with their colleagues most in the same department, seminars, workshops, mobile phones, conferences and staff meeting were the major modes of knowledge sharing and finally, the study revealed that acquisition, cataloguing and classification, selective dissemination of information and inter library loan were the major types of services rendered among library personnel in the selected universities in Southwest, Nigeria. Some of the recommendations were that Library management should encourage and promote knowledge sharing and knowledge utilization among library personnel and Library management should clearly state knowledge management strategy and create knowledge sharing initiatives in the library’s goals.

Utilisation of Web 2.0 Tools for Effective Library Services by Librarians in University Libraries in Southwest Nigeria (Published)
This paper examines utilisation of Web 2.0 tools for effective library services by librarians in University Libraries in Southwest Nigeria. Two hundred and three (203) copies which are (94%) were duly completed and found usable for this study. Questionnaire was used as instrument for data collection. The questionnaire was on types of Web 2.0 tools available, services available and influence of Web 2.0 use. Data obtained was analysed using descriptive statistics such as frequencies, percentages, mean, and standard deviation. Findings of the study revealed that 54% respondents indicated Youtube as the major type of Web 2.0 tools, followed by Facebook 50.5% and Twitter with 48% by librarians in University Libraries in Southwest Nigeria. Some of the recommendations were that Libraries management should provide internet access to staff and users of their libraries, and due to the dynamic nature of Web 2.0 tools, librarians need to keep themselves abreast of the new technology and remain relevant on their duties.

Demographic Factors Affecting ICT Utilisation by Undergraduate Students in Some Selected Universities in Nigeria (Published)
This study investigated the demographic factors affecting utilization of Information and Communication Technologies by undergraduate students in Nigeria. The factors examined include gender, age, religion, marital status and type of university. The study adopted a survey design approach and the questionnaire was administered on 1000 students across various Nigerian universities. 500 students were from two federal universities while 500 were from two state universities. Data were analysed using descriptive (frequency distribution) and inferential (Chi-square, PPMC and t-test analysis) statistical tool. Findings showed that the male gender utilizes ICTs more than the female gender, students below age 20 use ICT more than those between ages 20 and 30 years, single students utilize ICT more than the married and traditional worshippers use ICT more than Muslims while the Christian use of ICT is the lowest. The groups that use ICT more consequently experience greater benefits in terms of productivity and profit.
