The purpose of this study was to improve the note taking skills of Senior High School Students and to design strategies to help them take notes. To achieve this objective, the researcher used methodology which includes research design and sampling method. The research was conducted in African Premier College The Senior High School business class was sampled to represent all students. One hundred and twenty correspondents were used for the study. Observation, questionnaire, interview, pre-test and post-test were some of the data collection methods used by the researcher. The data was collected during the pre-intervention stage. Tables and charts were used to analyze the data collected. The result of the study showed that students’ note taking skills may be improved through dictations, spelling drills and sufficient time given students for taking down notes. .The research was concluded with recommendations to Ghana Education Service to include in the Senior High Schools (SHS) syllabus the teaching of note taking skills since this would help teachers to finish the teaching syllabus on time.
