The compounds such as methyl 2-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-4-(3,5-dioxo-4-phenyl-1,2,4-oxadiazolidin-2-yl)butanoate and 2-amino-4-(3,5-dioxo-4-phenyl-1,2,4-oxadiazolidin-2-yl)butanoic acid, higher homologues of quisqualic acid, have been synthesized in a first time via N-alkylation reaction of 4-phenyl-1,2,4-oxadiazolidine-3,5-dione by alkyl 2-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-4-iodobutanoate in presence of potassium carbonate as base in dry acetone. The structures of the synthesized compounds were established by 1H-NMR, MS data and elemental analysis.
