Optical Properties of Composite Resol Novolac Resin (RNR) Doped with Rhodamine 6g

Optical characteristics of Resol Novolac Resin (RNR) films doped with different ratios of Rhodamine 6G (0.01,0.03, 0.05, 0.05, 0.07, 0.1)% wt. were studied. The composite films prepared using casting technique, the optical absorption spectra of these films in the wavelength range from 200-800 nm. The result showed that the optical absorption is due to direct

Synthesis of New Higher Homologues of Quisqualic Acid

The compounds such as methyl 2-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-4-(3,5-dioxo-4-phenyl-1,2,4-oxadiazolidin-2-yl)butanoate and 2-amino-4-(3,5-dioxo-4-phenyl-1,2,4-oxadiazolidin-2-yl)butanoic acid, higher homologues of quisqualic acid, have been synthesized in a first time via N-alkylation reaction of 4-phenyl-1,2,4-oxadiazolidine-3,5-dione by alkyl 2-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-4-iodobutanoate in presence of potassium carbonate as base in dry acetone. The structures of the synthesized compounds were established by 1H-NMR, MS data and elemental analysis.

Chemical Composition and Differentiation of Essential Oils of Morocco’s Different Varieties of Thyme

This study aims at analysing the chemical composition of the essential oils (E.O.) of four varieties of thyme (Thymus broussonetii, Thymus satureioides, Thymus zygis and Thymus vulgaris) and their comparison; through the principal components analysis (PCA) method; with new species of thyme (T. riatarum, lepobotrys T and T. munbyanus), previously studied by M. El Idrissi

Preparation and Characterization of Some New Complexes of Schiff Bases Derived From Benzoin and Glycine

A new series of complexes containing benzoin and glycine compounds were prepared as ligands, ligand was prepared by the reacting between benzoin and glycine to give the corresponding Schiff base compound ((E)-2-((2-hydroxy-1,2-diphenylethylidene) amino) propanoic acid). The complexes M(HDPENP)2 – of Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Zn(II) and Fe(II) contaning Schiff base compound has been synthesized by the

Synthesis and Characterization of New Oxime-Formaldhyde Polymer and Their Biological Activities

Synthesis polymer by condensation of 4- hydroxyl benzaldehyde oxime (HBO) formaldehyde (F) and p-amino, p-nitro,p-hydroxy substituted acetophenones (A) at different conditions. The polymers were characteristic by FT-IR and CHN data and thermo gravimetric analysis, studied the geometrical optimization of this polymer by PM3 method and, the antibacterial and antifungal activities of polymers were also screened

Bifunctionalized Allenes. Part Xviii. Synthesis Of 2,5-Dihydro-1,2-Oxaphospholes And 2-Phosphoryl-2,5-Dihydrofurans By Electrophilic Cyclization And Coinage Metal-Catalyzed Cycloisomerization Of Phosphorylated 3-(-Hydroxy) Allenes

A convenient and efficient regioselective synthesis of phosphorylated 3-(-hydroxy)allenes by an atom economical [2,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement of the mediated propargyl phosphite or phosphinite which can be readily prepared via reaction of protected 1,2,4-triphenyl-1-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yloxy)-but-3-yn-2-ol with dimethyl chlorophosphite or chlorodiphenyl phosphine respectively is described. This paper discusses a reaction of phosphorylated 3-(-hydroxy)allenes with protected or unprotected hydroxy group
