Communication Strategies as Booster to Customer Relations Among Selected Banks in Delta State, Nigeria (Published)
This paper examines the use of communication strategies to boost customer relations among selected banks in Delta State. This study aims to identify the various communication strategies these banks engage and to establish specific challenges affecting the banks in course of deploying these communication strategies. The study was anchored on the system theory, using a sample size of 150 employees drawn from Access Bank Plc, First Bank Plc, Fidelity Bank Plc, United Bank of Africa and Zenith Bank Plc. Though a convenience sampling technique was employed in the questionnaire administration, 125 copies were retrieved and found suitable for analysis. Findings reveal that Banks employ a range of communication strategies, including tailored messages and interactions, effective feedback mechanisms, consistent social media engagement, and proactive customer support, to strengthen customer relationships. The study also revealed that communication strategies increases customer retention, enhance trust and credulity and boost revenue. Several challenges were found to affect the implementation of communication these strategies which includes poor staffing, resistance to technological adoption, and inadequate data integration. The study recommends that banks should optimize effective communication strategies that focus on addressing challenges related to staff training, technological adoption, data integration, communication consistency, feedback mechanisms, social media engagement, and innovation. Finally, banks should actively seek feedback from customers through various channels and ensure that these mechanisms are user-friendly and accessible.

Exploring the Impact of Technology in Teaching English: Tesol in the Context (Published)
This paper is an effort to explore the impact of technology in the context of Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL). At first, it analyzes the background of the evolving field of technology in English language teaching. Second, it delineates the growth of English through technology. Third, it explains the various necessities of technology in teaching English. After that, it highlights the possible disadvantages of technology. Next, it explains the importance of striking a balance between technology and traditional teaching and learning. Finally, the researcher concludes that a judicious and balanced use of technology can procure the desired pedagogic outcome in the TESOL classroom.

Improving Teaching of English Language through ICT for National Curriculum Consciousness: Limitations of Teachers in Nigeria (Published)
In Nigeria today, almost all human endeavours have imbibed the culture of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to boost the process of activities, but education sector is yet to optimally utilize the multidimensional opportunities inherent in computer use in pedagogy as it is done mostly in the western world. This review has identified the use of computer by developing software to teach English language contents. Teachers’ motivation has also been located as one of the indices that can improve teachers’ utilization of ICT facilities to achieve the pedagogical goals. Lack of existing localised programme and software plus dearth of computer in Schools, coupled with insufficient knowledge of computer use among practitioners have been identified as limiting factors to the use of ICT by Teachers. It is recommended that the training and retraining of teachers on ICT is very pertinent in achieving optimal goal of ICT utilization among teachers in Nigerian Schools.
