Major Negative Effects on Plant Diversity in Ganikh-Agrichai Valley (Within the Borders of Azerbaijan Republic) (Published)
In the present research, the following negative impacts on the plant diversity of the study area – Ganikh-Agrichai valley was studied: the fragmentation of natural habitats, contamination due to the lack of waste recycling, overgrazing, destruction of forests and shrubs for agricultural purposes and urbanization. Invasive species are also in the list of main negative impacts to plant diversity. It was determined that the proportion of transformed natural ecosystems by anthropogenic factors in the valley is about 80%: 20%., i.e. 4:1.
