Disciplinary Measures and Employee Commitment of Selected Hotels in Abeokuta, Ogun State

Abstract

The study investigated the relationship between disciplinary measures and employee commitment in selected hotels in Abeokuta, Nigeria. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to employees across various hotel categories. The study explores how disciplinary policies, fairness of implementation, and perceived procedural justice influence affective, continuance, and normative commitment among hotel workers. Findings are expected to offer practical insights into how effective disciplinary frameworks can enhance employee commitment and retention in the hospitality sector. The results could guide hotel managers in Abeokuta and similar contexts toward evidence-based disciplinary practices.
